A truck driver has been killed in a road accident on Bangabandhu bridge approach road in Kalihati upazila under Tangail district on Sunday morning.
Two others were injured in the accident. They were rushed to Tangail Medical College Hospital.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Akheruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu bridge east police station, said a North Bengal-bound truck fell into a road side ditch at Char Vabla area of the upazila around 8am after its driver had lost control over the steering leaving the truck driver dead on the spot.
