At least 60 people, including nine police officials, have been killed in an attack on a prison convoy in Iraq on Thursday,
Security sources said suicide attackers mounted a bomb and gun attack on a prison convoy, reports BBC.
According to the report, roadside bombs exploded when the convoy was taking the prisoners from Taji to the capital Baghdad.
Later, gunmen opened fire that triggered a battle with security forces.
However, there were no immediate figures for casualties among the militants.
