“Hello 8920 – The Stories of our life,” is running its 116th episode on ABC radio Fm 89.2. This is where ordinary people are given the highest freedom to speak about their lives, problems, dangers and also tragedies. Maksud, from Hajipara, Lakshmipur, was one of the guests on July 16, 2014 and he was helped with Tk0.2m through Hello 8920 team.
In 2009, Maksud married his beloved Shuchi, leading their lives happily, with a moderate income from a private coaching center. They conceived their first child, Humayra, in 2012. At the beginning of this year, all of a sudden, Shuchi fell sick. She became a victim of the deadly disease – cancer.
Maksud had already lost all he had for Shuchi’s treatment, but still they needed a lot more. It was impossible for Maksud to raise anymore amount. Shuchi’s father died when she was just a child. As a result, she shared her desire to raise her two years old daughter Humayra to Hello 8920.
The team of Hello 8920 looked into the matter, and broadcasted Shuchi’s story. As a result, the huge number of listeners of Hello 8920 responded with massive good wishes and an amount of Tk210,000 has already been handed over to Maksud.
