It seems, Riaz is occupied shooting for the small-screen and has been working in versatile roles. Dhaka Tribune caught up with the entertainer to know about his Eid programmes:
“I will be working in a telefilm 'Shubhogomon' which will be aired on the third day of Eid at 11:55pm on RTV. It is a story of an actor who goes to a small town for filming. However, he gets injured and is taken to a hospital. A comedy based drama, he meets a Maulana who hates all things related to the media but starts liking the actor. There is a nice item song which will surely be enjoyed by all.”
“Another one of my drama is titled ‘Superstar’ where I acted as a film director. The plot shows a director who could not release a film for political issues. He goes to France and returns home after a decade. Back in his struggling period, the director had a crush on a heroine. But as she was a drug addict, he tries to help her get over the habit. In this drama, I am pairing up with Nipun.”
“Don't Touch Me” is a weird story of a person who keeps on hurting people. But, in a series of incidents, he feels hurt by the behaviour of other's and realises his lifelong mistakes. In “Bhalobasha Ek Phota Jol” he plays a miscreant who finally understands the power of love. Riaz will be seen opposite to Rumana and the telefilm will be aired on the third day of Eid at 3:05pm on ATN Bangla.
“Ki Shundur Andhokaar” will see Riaz play an ugly role of exploiting his wife. “Working in the small screen gave me the opportunity to experiment with different images, a scope which is lacking in the film industry,” added the star.
About his Eid plans, Riaz said: “I will be celebrating Eid with my beloved wife Musfica Khan Teena and my family in Dhaka.”
