People are busy in Eid preparation as only 10 days are left for the biggest festival of the Muslims. New cloth is an essential part of the Eid preparations for children. However, every child is not fortunate enough to get a new cloth on the occasion.
There are many street children in our country who are living a miserable life. With the view to bring a smile on the faces of the street children, Human Safety Foundation (HSF), a voluntary organisation, distributed Eid clothes to the street children living in the Dhaka University campus and adjacent areas.
A total of 150 street children acquired new clothes in the Eid clothes distribution programme organised by HSF at the Teachers-Students' Centre (TSC) in Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon.
Besides, mothers of 50 street children were also provided sarees.
In the programme, children also sang solo and groups songs.
Human Safety Foundation has been running four schools for the street children in the Dhaka University and adjacent areas. The street Children who acquired Eid clothes are students of the four schools.
