Today is the second death anniversary of iconic entertainer Humayun Ahmed and Channel i will telecast a host of special TV programmes marking the day.
“Gaane Gaane Sokal Shuru,” a musical programme will be aired at 7:30am which is designed with the songs written by Humayun Ahmed and his favourite pieces. A special episode of “Grameenphone Tritio Matra” will be aired on 1:00am and 9:45am with the presence of Nasir Uddin Yusuf and Jayanta Chatyapaddhaya who will share many facets of Humayun Ahmed’s work and personality, while the special talk show will be anchored by Faridur Reza Sagor. A TV drama titled “Leelaboti,” written by Humayun Ahmed and directed by Meher Afroz Shaon, will be aired at 10:30am. Joya Ahsan, Mahfuz Ahmed, Challenger, Dr Ezaz, Maznun Mizan, Jayanta Chatyapadhaya and others will be seen in the drama.
“Srabon Megher Din,” will be aired at 1:05pm starring Mahfuz Ahmed, Jahid Hasan and Meher Afroz Shaon in the lead roles. The film features a love triangle where Shaon falls in love with Zahid Hasan. Mahfuz Ahmed also shows his interest towards Shaon who was brought to their village by her father. The story proceeds on with a group of visitors from the town with special focus on the lady doctor and her younger sister, both of whom like Zahid a lot.
The movie gives a chance to share some events of the great Liberation War of 1971. A special programme titled “Dorjar Opashe Humayun” will be aired at 11:30pm, directed by Raju Aleem.
