Ruling Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim has said the 14-party has decided to send a delegation to Gaza in order to express its shock at the death of “innocent civilinas.”
He said: “The 14-party has proposed to send a team to Gaza for expressing our profound sympathy to the deaths of the innocent civilians, especially the children. They have also requested the foreign and law ministries to take necessary step in this regard.”
The minister, also the spokesperson of the 14-party alliance led by Awami League, made the statement while talking to journalists after a meeting at the party's Dhanmondi office on Friday.
Strongly condemning the killing of civilians in Gaza, he said: “No civilised state can conduct such type of killing mission. These attacks are the worst examples in human history. Despite the killing of women and children, some countries are still supporting Israel which is shameful.”
He urged the global community to take immediate step to stop the “genocide.”
Gaza health officials say 238 Palestinians, most of them civilians, has been killed since Israel began the air and sea offensive on July 8.
Bangladesh government, opposition party, different political and cultural organisations have strongly condemned and protested the attacks in Gaza.
