The government has appointed Saida Muna Tasneem as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand.
A press releases issued by the foreign ministry said this on Thursday.
Tasneem is currently serving as director general in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the release said.
Earlier, she served in Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN in New York and Bangladesh High Commission in London in various capacities.
A career diplomat, Tasneem belongs to the 11th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.
Tasneem did her BSc (Engineering) degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka.
She also obtained her MSc in Public Policy and Management from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
She is married and blessed with three children.
