The government will appoint a total of 6,221 doctors in public hospitals next month.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim has made the disclosure while speaking at an inaugural function of the National ENT Institute Operation Theater in the capital on Tuesday, reports BSS.
The appointment of physicians will help address the crisis of physicians in the public hospitals, Nasim said.
The doctors would be sent to districts and upazilas across the country, he said.
The minister hoped that doctors will engage their best efforts in providing healthcare services to all.
