The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) yesterday signed a letter of cooperation with Cocoro Limited of Japan to strengthen cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
FBCCI Secretary General Mir Shahabuddin Mohammad and managing director of Cocoro Ltd. Ms Yukari Sujuki signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at a function at the FBCCI, said a press release. FBCCI President Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed and Chairman of Cocoro Ltd. Taku Furukawa were present at the function.
Cocoro Ltd will help Bangladesh expand its market in Japan and boost Japanese investment in Bangladesh.
Under the agreement, Cocoro will play role in strengthening relations of Japanese investors, trade bodies and firms with Bangladesh private sector players by exchanging necessary information. It will also assist the FBCCI in holding trade related seminars, conferences in Japan.
