The government has decided to appoint Md Wahidur Rahman as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
He is currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner in Kenya, according to a foreign ministry release.
Rahman is a cadre of the 9th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) and joined the service in 1991.
During his distinguished diplomatic career, he served in Bangladesh missions in Riyadh, Singapore, Jeddah and Bonn.
Rahman holds a post-graduate degree in Sociology.
