Bangladesh Krishi Bank Board of Directors Chairma Alauddin A Majid has been appointed as the new chairman of BASIC Bank.
The present board of directors has been dissolved under section 46 of Bank Company Act 1991.
A gazette has been published in this regard on Sunday afternoon.
The government has issued two other notifications regarding the matter.
According to the notifications, the authority has accepted the resignation letter of Basic Bank Board of Directors Chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bachchu which was submitted on July 2.
The authority has sent the names of the new board of directors for Citizens Information Board (CIB) clearing to the finance ministry.
The members of the BASIC Bank Board of Directors are: Md Asaduzzaman, former deputy managing director of Commerce Bank, Hasan Mahmud, FCA, Raihana Anisa Yusuf Ali, ex-managing director of House Building Finance Corporation, Muhid Ahmed, Dhaka University teacher Mrs Porag, additional secretary of industries ministry and Mamun Al Rashid, joint secretary of banking division.
