BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the party is taking preparation to participate in the next national poll apart from waging the anti-government movement.
He said: “We have already started organising our party in order to strengthen the anti-government movement after Eid. Besides, we are taking preparations for the election.”
Fakhrul made the statement while talking to journalists after visiting the party chief's media wing official Shamsuddin Didar at a city hospital on Saturday morning.
The BNP spokesperson said: “The present government has snatched the power by arranging an illegal poll. The people are with us and we will wage a massive anti-government movement unitedly.
All the ministers are illegal as they were not elected by the people. So, the nation now demands their resignations,” he added.
“People will reject the Awami League in the next poll as it has deprived them from their rights of giving votes.”
