Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has requested the speaker of the parliament to grant allowances to the staffs who worked in this parliament budget session.
She made the request during her closing speech at the JS session which had began on June 3.
The prime minister requested the speaker to grant the parliament staffs allowances equivalent to their monthly salaries.
This was the first budget of the Awami League government that took office after winning the January 5 general elections boycotted by the BNP and its allies.
On June 5, Finance Minister AMA Muhith has placed annual budget proposal around Tk 250,506 crore for 2014-15 fiscal year.
The budget of 2014-2015 fiscal year of Tk 250,506 crore was passed on June 29.
