Three people have been killed when a covered van knocked down a rickshaw in the city's Jatrabari area on Thursday morning.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports BSS.
Jatrabari Police Station duty office Monoj Provakor Roy said: “The Dhaka-bound covered van of Sundarban Courier Service knocked down the rickshaw near Fatema Petrol Pump in Kajla area around 10:30am, killing the three on the spot.”
He said: “We held the covered van driver from the spot soon after the incident. The bodies have been sent to Dhaka Medical College.”
