Man stabbed to death in capital

Unidentified assailants have stabbed a man to death in the capital's Mugda-Manda area early Thursday. The deceased is Shohidul Islam Shohid, 42, son of Akkas Ali of Jhalokati district and a resident of Mugda-Manda area in the capital. The deceased's wife Rabeya said: “My husband used to work for Korotowa and other newspapers. An unidentified man called him up over the phone and asked him to go out of the house around 3:30am.” However, she could not give any information regarding the type of work her husband used to do at the newspaper organisations. “I went out of the house and found my husband in a critically injured condition. He succumbed to his injuries in Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 4am,” she said. Medical Camp police In-Charge confirmed the death to the Dhaka Tribune.
