A group of employees Biman Bangladesh Airlines have kept the Biman managing director confined to his office room at Balaka for two hours to press home their 14-point demand.
The demands include continuation of uniform allowance of Biman employees, provide dearness allowance and restore medical allowance as previous.
The Biman employees and CBA leaders started the siege around 11:15am and continued till 1pm.
Mosharraf Hossain, general manager (public relations) of Biman said the employees submitted a memorandum to the managing director after the siege.
He said a board meeting of Biman would be held on July 5. "The meeting will decide about the demands of the employees."
Mushiqur Rahman, president of Biman Shromik League, told the Dhaka Tribune: "We will take position in front of the office of Biman MD again on Thursday morning."
