Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have beaten a Bangladeshi cow-herd to death at Charermath under Benapole port police station in Jessore on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sharif, 38, son of Md Afzal of Koplauri under Shibgonj upazila in Chapainawabganj.
“The BSF reportedly beat the cowboy,” Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge of Benapole port police station told the Dhaka Tribune.
The body was recovered from the spot around 10:30am, he added.
