Four officials of a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) of Pabna have been killed in a road crash on Bangabandhu Bridge approach road in Jokerchar area under Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Saturday morning.
Bangabandhu Bridge East police station Officer-in-Charge Akhiruzzaman has confirmed about the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
The deceased were identified as Mukhlesur Rahman, 45, chief executive officer, Abdul Hamid, 42, executive director, Azim Uddin, 42, deputy director and Mustafa Hosssain, 40, pick-up driver respectively of Ananya Samaj Kallyan Sangstha, Suganagar branch of Pabna.
The incident took place when a North Bengal bound truck collided head-on a Dhaka bound pick-up van in the area at 8am.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
