A man has committed suicide after killing his three sons in Hemayetpur of Savar.
The deceased were identified as Abu Sayeed, 40, his sons Rabiul, 8, Mustaq, 6, and Rahat, 4.
Shafiqul Islam, assistant superintend of Savar model police station, said Abu Sayeed poisoned his three sons and then hanged himself with the ceiling of his room.
Rekha Begum, wife of Abu Sayeed, said she found the door of her room locked from inside after she returned home from her workplace around 5:30pm.
"Then, I broke into the door and found my three sons bodies lying on the floor and my husband hanging bythe ceiling," she said.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies around 6:30pm.
"The man might have killed his sons following a family feud," said the OC.
