A youth has been slaughtered by unidentified miscreants over previous enmity in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj early Thursday.
The deceased is Ataur Rahman, 23, son of late Shahed Mia of Bargharia village in Karimganj.
According to police and local sources, some miscreants entered the house of Ataur on Wednesday night and slaughtered him, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, locals found the slaughtered body early hours of Thursday and informed the police.
Karimganj police station Officer-in-Charge Akhteruzzaman said: “Ataur might be killed for previous enmity.”
The body was sent to Kishoreganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
No case was filed till filing this report at 3: 30pm, he added.
On June 11, the supporters of Ratan Mia and Hares Mia groups locked into a clash at the same village at Bargharia in Karimganj upazila over a trivial matter, leaving one dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
