Both the factions of Gonojagoron Mancha have separately announced to stage a sit-in at Shabagh intersection from Tuesday morning demanding death penalty for Jamaat leader Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami.
The two factions respectively led by Dr Imran H Sarkar and Kamal Pasha declared the same course at separate rallies on Monday evening.
Dr Imran H Sarker said the Jamaat leader Nizami should be hanged for his 1971 role while Kamal Pasha urged the government to execute all war crimes verdicts as early as possible.
The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) 1 is set to deliver the verdict in the case of crimes against humanity against the incumbent Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Matiur Rahman Nizami on Tuesday.
