Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has received the certificate of Guinness World Record for successfully holding the "Lakho Kanthe Sonar Bangla” program in the capital on March 26 last.
The prime minister also received another certificate for her participation in the program.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor handed over the two certificates to Sheikh Hasina at her Jatiya Sangsad office on Sunday evening.
Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Leut Gen Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq was present.
The certificate of Guinness World Record will be preserved at the Prime Minister's Office, reported BSS.
Over 250, 000 people sang the national anthem at the National Parade Ground in the capital creating a new Guinness World Record.
Bangladesh was listed in the Guinness World Record for singing the national anthem by the largest number of people together in Dhaka on March 26.
The Guinness World Record later made the announcement on its official website.
