The torrential rainfall has lashed many parts of the capital on Sunday, causing misery for the city dwellers.
The downpour has inundated the city streets under knee-deep water in many areas, including Kakrail, Mouchak, Malibagh, Karwanbazar, Mirpur, Kazipara, Shewrapar, Shyamoli, Kathalbagan, Green Road and Motijheel area.
Commuters, especially the office-goers and school children are experiencing immense suffering as the vehicular movement in these areas have been severely restricted.
People in many areas had to wade through the water-logged streets.
The met office recorded 25 mm of rain in the last 24 hours till 6 am on Sunday.
The weather may remain unchanged till Monday, said the Met Office.
