Atiur for creating new entrepreneurs

Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr Atiur Rahman has emphasised on creating new entrepreneurs for the development of the country.

The central bank governor said this while addressing at a publication ceremony of a book "Hand Book of Entrepreneurship Development" at the Jahangir Alam auditorium of BB headquarters, reports BSS.

"Nearly 55% of the total population of the country is youth and it is possible to build our dreaming self reliant Golden Bangladesh if we can train up this young generation with technology, education and entrepreneurship skills," the governor said.

Terming the SME sector as essential besides the big entrepreneurs, he said, "We have created a fund of Tk100 crore for the SME and we will distribute it among the young entrepreneurs after training up them through Jurry board."

Professor Dr M Golam Rahman, Dean of Humanities and Social Science Faculty of Daffodil International University, Executive Directors of Bangladesh Bank Ahsan Ullah and Nirmal Chandra Vakta and its General Managers Asaduzzaman and Masum Patwary were present, among others, in the function.

Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University and former president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) wrote the book “Hand Book of Entrepreneurship Development” which is a complete guideline to assist new entrepreneurs.
