Bangladeshi company HASFAB Wear Limited is going to establish a readymade garments industry at Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ).
The company will invest $6.913 million for setting up its plant with annual production capacity of 3 million pieces of all types polo-shirt, t-shirt, camisole, shapewear and ladies intimate garments, says a press release.
Some 1632 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in HASFAB Wear factory, the release said.
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and HASFAB Wear Limited in the capital on Thursday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Monirul Islam Khan, Managing Director of HASFAB Wear Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BEPZA Secretary Shawkat Nabi, General Manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman and General Manager (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir were present at the signing ceremony.
