Social networking service, Facebook, went down for about 15 minutes on Wednesday afternoon.
The popular social networking site became unavailable around 2pm and the outage persisted for at least 15 minutes.
During the interruption, the Facebook homepage and other pages showed a message: “Sorry, something went wrong. - We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can' message.”
The mobile version of Facebook was also not working and was displaying the same message.
A large number of users across different parts of the capital have informed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Users across US, UK, Europe and Asia have complained about the outage on Twitter.
The last major Facebook outage was on May 9 when a number of users were unable to login to their accounts.
