Milky murder to be probed again

A Dhaka court has ordered Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to re-investigate the sensational Jubo League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky murder case.

In its order, the court asked CID to run the probe by the officials carrying higher posts than ASP level. Read more.

Fakhrul, Gayeshwar, Salam get permanent bail

A Dhaka court has granted permanent bail to 26 BNP men including its acting secretary general Fakrul Islam Alamgir in a police constable killing case filed with Ramna police station.

The authorities of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet) have shutdown the university for an indefinite period following a factional clash between two groups of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men on Monday night.

Locals of west Dumuria under Gournadi upazila in Barisal yesterday held a rally with the body of a business man, protesting his alleged death in police custody.
