Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has arrived Dhaka on Monday morning on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina.

A special aircraft of Kingdom of Cambodia carrying the Cambodian prime minister and members of his entourage landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:50am, reports BSS.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received Hun Sen at the VVIP Terminal of the airport, while a tiny tot presented a bouquet to him.

A smartly turned out contingent drawn from three services gave a guard of honour and state salute to Hun Sen.

Later, Sheikh Hasina introduced her cabinet colleagues and other dignitaries to the Cambodian premier at the presentation line.

After the warm welcome at the airport, the Cambodian premier was taken to the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel where he will reside during his visit to Bangladesh.

This is the highest-level visit from Cambodia to Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina visited Cambodia on January 21-23, 2001.
