Police: Nur to be brought back

The government will initiate process soon to bring back Nur Hossain, the prime accused of the seven murders in Narayanganj, to Bangladesh, Narayanganj Police Super Dr Khandakar Mohid Uddin has said.

Confirming the arrest of Nur Hossain, the police super told the Dhaka Tribune on Sunday morning.

Nur Hossain will be produced before a Barasat court of West Bengal, the police super said.

Kolkata police Saturday night arrested Nur Hossain along with his two other accomplices from a fourth floor apartment of multi-storey Indraprastha apartment complex owned by some Seema Singh, who lives in Mumbai.

The two other accomplices of Nur were identified as Asif and Shamim.

Earlier on April 27, NCC panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others were abducted. Later, their bodies were recovered from Shitalaykha River on April 30.

Nazrul's wife filed an abduction case against Nur on April 28.
