Mortuza Zaman alias Charchil, bodyguard of Nur Hossain, prime accused in gruesome seven murder of Narayanganj, has given confessional statement before a Narayanganj court on Saturday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate KM Mohiuddin recorded Charchil's confessional statement after he was produced before the court around 4:30pm.
This is the third confessional statement recorded by court in the Narayanganj seven murder case.
Ex-RAB officers Maj (retd) Arif Hossain, and Lt Commander MM Rana confessed their involvement in the murders and abductions.
Churchill was arrested from Faridpur by the DB Police early on Friday.
Narayanganj Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam and six others were abducted on April 27. Their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya River on April 30.
Nazrul’s wife filed an abduction case against Nur and four others on April 28.
Nur went into hiding immediately after the recovery of Nazrul’s body.
