A woman and her son have been killed as a mud-wall collapsed on them during storms at Sundarpur-Khashpara village in Panchbibi upazila of the district early Friday.
The deceased are Julekha Begum, 23, wife of Azizul Islam, and her son Al-Amin, 8.
Panchbibi police station Officer-in-Charge Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal said: “During the storm a tree fell on the room of Julekha and due to the tree fall the mud-wall collapsed on Julekha and her son, leaving them dead at 8am.”
“Both the mother and the son were sleeping during the collapse. Azizul was away from home during the incident.”
