A fire has broken out at a leather factory in the Capital's Hazaribagh area on Thursday morning.
Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Ataur Rahman told the Dhaka tribune: “The fire broke out on the fourth-floor of five-storied Chowdhury Leather factory at 12:25pm. On information, two units of firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire at 13:05pm.”
“The fire originated from boiler explosion.”
The extent of losses has not been officially assessed yet.
