Border Guard Battalion (BGB) have rescued some 47 Bangladeshis from Putkhali and Daulatpur frontiers Putkhali and Daulatpur frontiers in Jessore early Thursday while they were being trafficking to India.
Among the rescued people, seven are children and 14 are women. They have hailed from Narail, Bagerhat and Khulna districts.
BGB 23 Subedar Shafiuddin confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the rescue operations.
He said: “But BGB could not manage to held any trafficker.”
Benapole port police station Sub-Inspector Ashraf Hossain said: “The rescued people have been handed over to Benapole port police station after filing a case in the morning.”
The Bangladeshis were going to India in search of better jobs there, port sources said.
