A jewelery shop owner has been shot by robbers at Tantibazar area under Kotwali police station of the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured businessman, Suman Dhar, 36, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition.
DMCH police outpost In-charge Inspector Mozammel Haque said: “A gang of some seven to eight robbers shot Suman while robbing the shop around 2:30pm. After looting the shop, they hurled some crude bombs and fled the spot.”
No report of arrest was filed till filing the report at 4pm.
