Three people have been injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong University unit on Tuesday morning.
The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.
Following the incident, both the groups have taken position on the campus and locked its main gate around 1pm.
Later, police went to the spot and fired tear shells to disperse the crowd.
CU Proctor Professor Siraj Ud Dowla told the Dhaka Tribune that three persons were injured in the clash. Police are trying to calm the situation.
