At least three labourers have been killed and eight others injured as a pickup van carrying them turned turtle on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Manikganj on Monday morning.
The deceased are Samidul, Choyra, 33, and Khalil, they hailed from Alokdia Char area under Shibalaya upazila.
Witnesses said the Aricha-bound paddy-laden pickup van hit a road divider turned turtle with road divider on the highway and turned turtle at Boalia in the morning, killing one on the spot and injuring the others.
The injured labourers were taken to sadar hospital where the doctors declared two of them dead.
Shibalaya police station Officer-in-Charge Nokibuzzaman confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths.
