A machinegun barrel and huge amount of ammunitions have been recovered from the bordering Satchhari forest of Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj on Monday morning.
Rab 9 Srimangal Camp In-charge Sana Shaminur Rahman endorsed the information with the Dhaka Tribune.
“Acting on a tip off, the RAB personnel conducted a drive in the forest and recovered 633 rounds of 7.62 mm bullets, 54 rounds of 12.54 mm bullets, 37-inch long barrel of a machinegun,” Shaminur Rahman said.
Earlier on June 3, 184 rocket launchers with 153 chargers, some anti-tank and mortar shells and many other weapons were recovered by RAB-9 personnel from Satchhari forest.
