Police have arrested one more suspected accused of Feni’s Fulgazi upazila chairman and also Awami League leader Ekramul Hossain Ekram killing case.
The arrestee has been identified as Arman Hossain Kaiser, son of police constable Abdul Kaiyum of Madhupur area of Feni and a student of Feni Government College.
Police, in a raid, have arrested Kaiser from Barahipur area of the town at 3pm on Sunday, Feni Model police station ASI Main Uddin Bhuiyan has told the Dhaka Tribune.
With the arrest of Kaiser, the number of total arrestees now stands at 25.
On May 20, a group of criminals killed Ekram by shooting and setting fire on his vehicle in front of witnesses at the Academy Road in Feni.
Following the incident, police have arrested 24 people including Jihad Chowdhury, an alleged mastermind and joint secretary of Fulgazi upazila AL unit, and BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar, the alleged financier.
