Update : 07 Jun 2014, 10:11 AM

CNG refueling station owners have postponed their strike till August 24 after getting assurance from the government regarding their demands.

President of Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association Zakir Hossain Noyon has told the Dhaka Tribune about the postponement of their program.

The strike postponement decision has come after meeting with the state minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid at his Baridhara residence, Zakir said.

CNG refueling station owners called strike for seven-point demands including a rise in CNG prices, installation of Electronic Volume Correction (EVC) metres at the refueling stations by replacing the existing ordinary metres.

They withdrew their strike as the minister assured them that their demand will be full-filled by August 14.
