Police have arrested four robbers while they were preparing for robbery at Hilalpur village in Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj early Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Iliyas Ali of Nabiganj in Habiganj, Kamal Mia, 35, Sumon Mia, 26, Rinku, 19, of Jagannathpur upazila.
Jagannathpur police station Officer-in-Charge Md Asaduzzaman said: “Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the robbers with the help of the locals while they were preparing to rob the house of Satish Chowdhury early Saturday. They are accused with several robbery cases.”
Police also seized precious items from the possessions of the robbers, he added.
