2 Bangladeshi bodies arrive from UAE

The bodies of two of the four Bangladeshi workers who were killed in a road crash in Dubai of United Arab Emirates, have arrived home on Tuesday.

A flight of Air Arabia, carrying the bodies of Alamgir and Masud Ali, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30am.

Zahidul Islam, assistant director of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET), handed the bodies over to the families and relatives at the airport.

He also provided each of the families with Tk35,500 for burial and transport cost.

The Wealth Earners’ Welfare Fund will give Tk3lakh as donation, he said.

Four Bangladeshi workers were killed in a bus accident in Dubai of United Arab Emirates on May 10. Nine more Bangladeshis were injured in the incident.

The accident occurred when a bus carrying 29 Asian workers rammed a heavy truck parked on the hard shoulder, killing 15 people on the spot.

Of them, four are Bangladeshis and 11 Indians.

The deceased Bangladeshi nationals were identified as Md Badrul Hasan, 35, son of Nabi Haq, of Sitakundu, Chittagong, Alamgir, 32, son of Badsha Mia of Matlab, Chandpur, Nazrul, 28, son of Kalimullah of Jaintapur, Sylhet, and Masum Ali, 24, son of Milu Dhali of Chandpur Sadar upazila.
