Gonojagoron Moncho spokesman Imran H Sarkar has said the platform wasn’t initiated to serve anyone’s purpose, so it will not go back through anybody’s wish.
He said: “The movement was formed to realise the six-point demand and we will go home only after the demands are met.”
The platform held the programme protesting the “delay” in implementation of the verdicts handed down to the war criminals and to implement the six-point demand of the platform at Shahbagh projonmo chattar on Friday afternoon.
The speakers at the programme called upon its activists to resist all kind of conspiracies against the movement and remain united against it.
Among others, Janardan Datta Nantu president of Chhatra Front, Probir Shaha president of Chhatra Federation, Faisal Faruq president of Biplobi Chhatra Moitri, Shahjahan Ali Saju secretary of Chhatra League (JSD), GM Hilali organising secretary of Chhatra Union and Lucky Akter one of the leading organisers of the Moncho addressed the programme.
Meanwhile, a faction of the Gonojagoron Moncho brought out a procession from Shahbagh intersection towards TSC of Dhaka University protesting the attack on Shishir and demanded punishment for the attackers.
They also demanded the withdrawal of the cases against Jubo League leaders and Moncho activists which was filed following the recent attack on Gonojagoron Mancho in Shahbagh.
