‘Drive continues to rescue Rizwana’s husband’

Law enforcing agencies have been working relentlessly to rescue abducted Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Syeda Rizwana Hasan, executive director of the Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA).

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan has said this at his office on Thursday while talking to the journalists.

Replying to a query, Asad said: “The law enforcing agencies including RAB, police, DB have also acting according to the Rizwana’s allegation what she said her professional foes had might be abducted her husband.”

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also aware of the incident, he informed the journalists.

Abu Bakar Siddique has been abducted from Fatulla area in Narayanganj on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, following the footage found in the close circuit (CC) camera on the Polashi end of Jatrabari flyover, police have identified the number of the vehicle which was used to abduct Abu Bakar, Narayanganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Syeed Nurul Islam said.
