Bangladesh is set to renew its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea hiring manpower in May, says Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain.
The minister made the disclosure after holding a meeting with Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Yun-young at his office in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
He said: “The MoU will be renewed in the first week or in the middle of May. The MoU will expire on June 14.
During the meeting we have discussed about manpower export from Bangladesh to the country,” he added.
The minister further said: “Mechanism will be adopted to ensure that the workers do not stay in Korea even after their work tenure is finished.”
“Steps will be taken to send the workers who have not been able to go to Korean even after being in the serial.”
