Police have detained four dacoits with arms from a bus in Chandra crossing area under Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur early Monday.
The detainees are Anwar Hussain 19, Serajul Islam 18, Shipon, 20 and Rofti, 20.
All of them hailed from Khudra Kushtia village of Shahjadpur of Bogra district.
Kaliakoir police station Officer-in-Charge Omar Faruk said a passenger got down from a running bus at 3am and informed police that the dacoits were looting the passengers of a Dhaka bound bus.
Later, law enforcing men of the area started to halt the buses and checking. Finally, they found the dacoits on a bus of Rahul Paribahan coming from Bogra.
Police recovered a foreign arm, 4 chapatis, 8 bottles of phensidyl, 12 cell phones, cash and some wallets from their procession.
However, three of the other accomplices of the dacoits fled away.
Police filled a case with Kaliakoir police station in this connection.
