A youth has been killed in a clash between two factions of ruling Awami League in Dharmagar union of Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj on Sunday night.
The decased was identified as Sohel Mia, 24, student of a local college.
Mozammel Hoque, assistant superintendent of police in Habiganj, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the death.
He said supporters of Dharmagar union Awami League unit president Polash and leader of the same area Jasim locked into a clash over ditribution of jalmohal tender around 10:30pm that left Sohel critically injured.
He was rushed to Madhabpur upazila health complex where duty doctor declared him dead.
