Call to ban Kadiani, Ahle Hadith

Update : 12 Apr 2014, 04:34 PM

Junaid Babunagari, the secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam, said the government should ban Kadiani group and Ahle Hadith followers as they are not Muslim.

He also said the persons who have no believe in Allah cannot live in Bangladesh.

The top Hefazat leader said these at the concluding day of a two-day Shane Resalat Sommelan, a Muslim religious conference, in Chittagong city’s Laldighi ground on Saturday evening.

He demanded to withdraw Gonojagoron Moncha and also urged the activists of Gonojagoron Moncha titling them as “Shahbagi Atheists” have to take Islam again.

The Hefazat leader also demanded to free all the Hefazat leaders and Islami scholars including Mufti Wakkas and Harun Izahar who are behind the bars and withdraw all “false” cases against them.

“We have no friendship with them who do not include ‘Full faith in Almighty Allah’ in the constitution of the country,” he also said.

“Our battle against atheists, Kadiani and Ahle Hadith followers and their associates as they deliver derogatory speeches against Prophet Mohammad (Pubh),” he said, adding, “We will resist them who derogate our prophet.”

He said that Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and people from other religions can live in the country but the atheists cannot.

He also said Ahle Hadith followers have connection with JMB and other militant groups while Kadiani are not followers of Islam; so, the government should ban them and they have to live in the country as minority.

Salauddin Nanupuri, joint secretary general of Hefazat-e Islam, presided over the concluding day conference.

Hefazat Central Committee Nayeb-e-Amir Mufti Ahmad Ullah, Nur Hossain Kashemi, Joint Secretary General Mahmudul Hasan, Organising Secretary Azizul Haq Islamabadi, Shah Mohammad Tayeb, Kustia Islami University teacher Dr ABM Hijbullah, Dainik Inqilab Assistant Editor Obaidur Rahman Khan Nadvi, Jameatul Darul Ma’rif Madrasa Founding Director Sultan Jowke spoke, among others, in the programme.
