While expressing his sudden reaction over the issue of relieving him from the responsibility of spokesperson, Gonojagoron Moncho convener Imran H Sarker said no one has the right to discharge him from the position.
Imran came up with the reaction on Saturday noon, immediately after a faction announced that from now on Imran would no longer be the mouthpiece of the anti-war criminal platform.
Imran H Sarker said: “As the Moncho is not a political organisation, therefore no one is allowed to discharge me from the responsibilities of spokesperson.”
“The announcement surprised me. I heard that it has made as per the direction of a central leader of Awami League,” Imran told the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier on the day, a faction of Gonojagoron Moncho has relieved him of the spokesperson role.
The faction has also formed a five-member prolocutor panel to conduct the activities of Gonojagoron Moncho from now on.
On April 6, the same group “expelled” Imran H Sarker, the spokesperson for Moncho, declaring him “unwanted” in the platform.
