A plastic factory has been gutted in capital’s Lalbagh area on Friday night.
The fire broke out inside the three-storey factory building around 8pm.
Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) official Ziaur Rahman said: “On information, seven units of fire-fighters rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the blaze.”
He, however, could not ascertain the cause of the fire.
Witness Kabir Hossain said: “The fire originated at the plastic factory housed in a three-storey tin-shed building near Rahmatganj Playground.”
He said as the factory was located at a congested area that made it difficult for the fire-fighters to reach the spot and douse it.
